Kia already has more electric vehicles in its rank than most other automakers, but the brand is poised to set a new benchmark with the upcoming Kia EV6. Let’s take a closer look at what the new electric EV6 has in store with some facts about Kia’s upcoming EV.
The Kia EV6 will offer buyers the range they want from their electric vehicle. Two batteries will be offered, a 58.0 kWh unit and a larger 77.4 kWh battery. Range hasn’t been officially confirmed but early reports suggest the EV6 will be able to travel between 480 and 510 kilometres on a single charge. Speaking of charge, the EV6 can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 18 minutes!
Not only will the new Kia EV6 offer plenty of range, but it will also offer impressive performance. The high-performance EV6 GT will offer 576 horsepower, enough to reach 100 km/h in under 4.0 seconds and surprise a few Tesla owners.
The Kia EV6 is a crossover vehicle with the space you expect from said vehicle. Kia says the rear trunk will offer 520 litres with all seats in place, and 1,300 litres with the rear seats folded flat. The EV6 will also feature a front trunk with 20 to 52 litres of additional cargo space depending on whether you go FWD or AWD.
It will boast great towing capacity
Last but not least, the Kia EV6 will offer a reported 1,600 kilos of towing capacity.
